Senior AI Engineer

About the role

EY is expanding its AI (including Generative AI) capabilities and is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join a team that advises public sector institutions and major private companies in the Baltics and beyond. The engineer works with key decision-makers to turn business expertise and technology into better client choices.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on how to use AI, machine learning and advanced analytics to solve their business challenges.
• Translate complex technical details and the impact of AI into clear, actionable advice for non-technical stakeholders.
• Design and run data science experiments to evaluate models, hypotheses and algorithms.
• Design and implement AI solutions tailored to client needs.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, and establish relationships at the right levels.

Required profile

• Experience with AI technologies, including NLP, NLU, large language models and generative AI.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Data Science, AI or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with statistical techniques and machine learning applied effectively.
• Ability to work with vague stakeholder requirements and to manage projects, timelines, stakeholders and deliverables.
• Ability to lead and promote growth among junior team members.

Required skills

• Knowledge of programming principles and best practices for software development, AI engineering, MLOps and/or LLMOps (model versioning, monitoring, continuous training, deployment automation).
• Advantageous: Python and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Streamlit, NumPy, SciPy.
• Advantageous: tools such as Kedro, Kubeflow, Azure ML, LangChain, LangGraph, Azure Foundry, ZenML.
• Advantageous: building AI solutions on Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP.
