Senior Tax Specialist

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Tax Specialist in its Tax team in Kaunas. You will work alongside a team of professionals to give clients and complex businesses strategic advice, guidance and expertise on their tax obligations, working closely with top-level management. The role suits someone who wants to sharpen technical knowledge, management skills and business instincts.

Key responsibilities

• Help clients improve day-to-day reporting for direct, indirect and digital taxes
• Help clients improve working capital by reducing errors and costs and handling taxes correctly in a changing compliance environment and growing digitalisation of tax authorities
• Advise on how direct taxes (corporate income tax, withholding tax, real estate tax), indirect taxes (VAT, excise duties, import duties) and green taxes (pollution, environmental, carbon taxes) affect the client's supply chain, finance and accounting systems

Required profile

• Proven work experience in tax
• Bachelor's degree in law, accounting, economics or another business-related field
• Fluent English and Lithuanian
• Ability to prioritise, work under tight deadlines and collaborate with team members
